PARAÑAQUE CITY – The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and S&P Global turned over a Knowledge Channel TV (KCTV) package for Early Childhood Development (ECD) to the Area 1 Child Development Center (CDC) on February 13.

Designed to support Child Development Workers and Teachers (CDW/Ts) in enriching their sessions with children, the KCTV package for ECD includes a 43-inch Smart TV and an external hard drive preloaded with ECD video lessons such as Musikantahan, Kuwentong Pambata, and ATBP, bringing meaningful, transformative, and engaging learning experiences to the children of Area 1. The integration of these visual and auditory resources in CDCs is structured to inspire children’s curiosity and foster a foundational love for learning.
Aside from engaging video lessons for children, the KCTV also contains resources for CDW/Ts and parents, such as ILY1000, which educates new parents on the first 1,000 days of a child’s life, and Dok Ricky Pedia, which focuses on proper nutrition and care for children.
Following the turnover ceremony, KCFI and S&P Global engaged with the young learners through various activities. Utilizing the newly installed KCTV, they watch Knowledge Channel videos together with the children. The S&P Global team also facilitated an interactive art activity, demonstrating the benefits of combining technological resources with direct community engagement in early childhood education.

Through continuous collaborations with corporate partners like S&P Global, KCFI remains committed to expanding its educational impact, particularly in ECD. KCFI calls on organizations to partner in its mission to bring offline learning resources and enhanced learning experiences to more CDCs, schools, and communities nationwide.
