KCFI and NTFF Strengthen Early Childhood Education in Morong with Knowledge Channel TV Packages for ECD

MORONG, RIZAL – The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI), in partnership with NYK-TDG Friendship Foundation, Inc. (NTFF), turned over a Knowledge Channel TV (KCTV) package for Early Childhood Development (ECD) to the Child Development Centers (CDCs) of Taghangin and San Pedro in the Municipality of Morong, Rizal on February 23. Held at the Municipal Hall of Morong, the ceremonial turnover ceremony marked the beginning of a shared commitment between KCFI and NTFF to strengthen early childhood education and expand access to quality learning resources for children aged 0-8 in the municipality.

Highlighting KCFI's long-standing mission, Vice President Edric Calma underscored the foundation’s dedication to democratizing education. “For 25 years, we have remained committed to the goal of making quality education accessible to every Filipino child. Beyond the video lessons we produce for basic education, we also have shows specifically developed for Early Childhood Development.”

The KCTV package for ECD includes a 43-inch Smart TV and an external hard drive containing hundreds of Knowledge Channel video lessons. These curated materials are designed to support foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, values formation, and social-emotional learning. Fully accessible even without an internet connection, the KCTV enables Child Development Workers and Teachers (CDW/Ts) to deliver engaging, structured, and joyful learning experiences.
