United For Children: KCFI and Anak TV Celebrate Young Filipino Voices at the 5th Sinebata Awards

Makati City, Philippines – Harmony, empathy, and resilience came to life as the stories and bright imagination of young Filipino voices took the center stage at the 5th Sinebata Awards, held on August 27, 2025, at The Peninsula Manila. Carrying the theme “The Magic of Peace,” Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) proudly joined the festival by Anak TV to honor brilliant works created by and for children, celebrating how storytelling can inspire compassion and hope in society.
For years, KCFI and Anak TV have stood together in championing responsible, child-sensitive and family-friendly media. Driven by Anak TV’s advocacy “Your Children, Our Children,” and KCFI’s mission to “Reach More, Teach More,” both organizations uphold their responsibility for the well-being of children and using media to expand in instilling these values and education to every Filipino child across the country.

This time, KCFI’s participation took on an even greater meaning as it served as one of the jurors, determining the winners and finalists whose crafts embodied the creativity, relevance, and child-centered narrative of the theme.
With over a hundred submitted video entries, it is indeed more than just an awards ceremony, as it is also a reaffirmation and commitment on creating spaces where voices and ideas of the youth are seen, heard, and amplified.
The event culminated with the announcement that the winning entries are set to represent the Philippines at the Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children (SEAVFC) in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14-15, 2025. Now carrying their “Magic” to an international stage with other young creators, they reflect the aspirations, and abilities of Filipino children as their rooted experiences and stories travel and inspire across different audiences to strengthen “Peace”.
The 5th Sinebata Awards was not only a celebration of children’s creativity, but also a powerful reminder of what Filipino youth can bring and offer to the media when encouraged and supported. As KCFI continues their shared journey with Anak TV, it remains dedicated to being united for children towards creating a brighter impact and future for the next young generations.
