Knowledge Channel Learning Resources and Interventions

The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc.’s (KCFI) initiative to empower learners and educators has involved successful collaborations with the Department of Education (DepEd), the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council, enterprises, and government and non-government organizations. KCFI delivers accessible, innovative, and engaging solutions through three key pillars: Learning Resources, Training and Mentoring, and Platforms. 

Learning Resources

Video lessons covering core subjects in the DepEd curriculum, alongside special topics such as Agriculture, Travel, Environment, Peace Education, Entrepreneurship, Technical-vocational, Alternative Learning System (ALS), and Teacher Effectiveness​.

Early Childhood Development (ECD)

I Love You 1000: Batang #Laking1000 is produced in partnership with the National Nutrition Council (NNC), providing new and expecting parents with relevant information on nutrition, health, and ECD education during the first 1000 days of a child, which is a crucial period of their development. Musikantahan showcases nursery rhymes and songs to provide early childhood music exposure promoting development across multiple domains. Kwentoons, animated children's stories, enhances hearing comprehension skills and familiarity with words and pronunciation.

Basa, Bilang

Basa, Bilang integrates literacy and numeracy instruction for Key Stage 1 learners, and provides supplemental learning resources, training, and mentoring for both teachers and parents. Ready, Set, Read! focuses on developing essential reading and listening comprehension skills, helping learners build foundation literacy abilities necessary for their academic future. Wikaharian, a comprehensive language and literacy program that delves into the complexity of the Filipino language, fostering deeper understanding and appreciation of its culture and rich linguistic heritage. MathDali provides engaging, easy-to-understand math concepts and examples that are locally contextualized, building learner’s confidence and meeting national curriculum standards.

Training and Mentoring

K-CARE, a three-day training program for Child Development Workers and Teachers (CDW/Ts), parents, and other caregivers of young children. Fostering sustainable community-led support for early childhood development based on the Nurturing Care Framework and the ECCD Council's National Early Learning Framework (NELF). LEEP, or “Learning Effectively through Enhanced and Evidence-based Pedagogies,” is a three-day teacher training program that provides teachers and principals with the knowledge and skills to use 21st-century teaching methods to improve academic performances among learners and address learning gaps, focusing on early reading and numeracy to build a strong foundation for academic success.

Platforms

The Knowledge Channel is available to watch on Cignal, GSAT, and SatLite (satellite); Sky Cable, Cablelink, and PCTA (cable); and Beam 31.3, ABS-CBN TVplus, GMA Affordabox, and Sulit TV (Digital Terrestrial TV). Video lessons are also available online via iWantTFC and Cignal Play, on-demand through the official Facebook and YouTube pages, and as educational snippets on TikTok. Offline access is available through the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library (KCPML) and Knowledge Channel TV Package (KCTV) to provide quality learning materials for underserved public schools and communities in far flung areas with no service or internet connection.
