With the shared goal of fostering 21st-century learning and narrowing gaps in access to quality education, the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and Megawide Foundation have commenced the rollout of educational multimedia resources to schools and Child Development Centers (CDCs) in various areas across Mega Manila.

Through this new partnership, KCFI and Megawide Foundation are turning over Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library (KCPML) and Knowledge Channel TV (KCTV) packages to support learners from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to high school, providing offline access to quality learning resources. KCPML is a portable hard drive containing over 1,500 curriculum-aligned video lessons, e-games, and e-session guides. KCTV, a 43-inch smart TV for ECD or 55-inch smart TV for elementary or high school, bundled with a KCPML, enables convenient media viewing without the need for internet connection.

Expressing appreciation for Megawide Foundation's support, Rina Lopez, President and Co-Founder of KCFI, emphasized the importance of expanding access for young learners.

"We are deeply grateful to Megawide Foundation for helping bring meaningful learning opportunities to young children. Through this partnership, more learners will have access to engaging educational content that nurtures curiosity, joy, and a love for learning. Together, we are helping give every child the strong start they deserve,” said Lopez.

The distribution includes two KCTV packages and six KCPML packages for the following beneficiaries:

  • Antonio C. Esguerra Memorial National High School, Taytay, Rizal (KCPML for ES)

  • Bahay Bulilit Learning Center, Bacoor City, Cavite (KCTV for ECD)

  • Concordia Children's Services, Sta. Mesa, Metro Manila (KCPML for ES)

  • Little Baguio Child Development Center, San Juan City, Metro Manila (KCPML for ECD)

  • Maytunas Daycare Center, San Juan City, Metro Manila (KCPML for ECD)

  • Milagrosa West Elementary School, Carmona City, Cavite (KCPML for ECD)

  • San Antonio Elementary School, Parañaque City, Metro Manila (KCTV for ECD)

  • Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children's Home, Pasig City, Metro Manila (KCPML for ES)

Investing in Stronger Learning Communities

Beyond providing educational devices, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating learning environments where children and educators can thrive. By supporting schools and CDCs with curriculum-aligned resources, KCFI and Megawide Foundation aim to help teachers and Child Development Workers/Teachers (CDW/Ts) deliver more engaging lessons while giving learners greater opportunities to explore, discover, and develop foundational skills.

As the rollout expands to more communities, the initiative highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing educational challenges and ensuring that quality learning opportunities reach children wherever they are.

“We are proud to collaborate with organizations like the Knowledge Channel Foundation, guided by our shared vision of shaping a generation of empowered Filipino children and students. We have strengthened support for public schools and residential care centers with the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Libraries, a meaningful resource that empowers teachers and enriches students’ learning,” said Teresa Saavedra, President of Megawide Foundation.

Through collaborative efforts like this, KCFI remains steadfast in its advocacy to "Reach More, Teach More." Together with Megawide Foundation, it continues to expand access to meaningful learning experiences and help build brighter futures for Filipino children.
