BAGUIO CITY – On January 21, the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc. (Murata) gifted Knowledge Channel TV (KCTV) packages to 5 public schools in Baguio City through a ceremonial turnover. Packed with over 1,500 curriculum-based video lessons, e-games, and e-session guides, the KCTV makes learning more fun, engaging, and easier to understand for learners.

Edric Calma, KCFI Vice President, emphasized the foundation’s goal of reaching every Filipino child and supporting educators. “For more than 25 years, KCFI has remained committed to making quality education accessible,” Calma said, noting that the regular use of video lessons has proven to be an effective learning intervention.

40 Teachers from the beneficiary schools also participated in a technical training session to maximize the use of the KCTVs and its video lessons for classroom instruction.

Launching 'NEXT LEVEL!'

The event also marked the launch of NEXT LEVEL!, a new video lesson produced by KCFI and Murata aligned with the K-12 Science curriculum that introduces learners to real-world applications of capacitors in everyday and emerging technologies, while covering key concepts such as electric current, voltage, resistance, and electromagnetic waves.

“Together, we created an engaging animated video that simplifies complex concepts like capacitors, making technology more accessible and enjoyable for students,” said Marilyn Tumulak, Jr. Section Manager of Murata, adding that the project with KCFI aligns with Murata’s mission to support the educational development of the youth who will become tomorrow’s innovators.
