KCFI Data Privacy Policy
Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI), a duly formed and recognized entity under the laws of the Philippines recognizes its duties and responsibilities under the Republic Act No. 10173 (Act), also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 on the data that it collects, records, organizes, updates, uses, or consolidates from its various stakeholders – students, teachers, parents, etc. and partners – grantors, donors, and purchasers, etc., and case studies. In the course of its projects, activities or business in pursuit of its objectives and programs, whatever personal data it obtains and keeps within KCFI, will only be accessed by authorized personnel of KCFI. Such authorized personnel shall have been informed and have sworn to safeguard such data and that infractions of such data shall be subjected corresponding administrative and/or legal action/s. KCFI has instituted appropriate organizational, technical, and physical and digital security guidelines and spaces and corresponding measures to ensure the protection of its stakeholders, partners, and case studies’ data.
Furthermore, information collected and kept within KCFI’s data portal shall only be used sparingly for the following purposes:
Acceptance, use, and reporting on programs or projects related to grants, and donation, i.e. Donor Information Form, Deed of Donation, Notice of Donation, and Certificate of Donation, and case studies, and only under conditions allowed by law.
With limited information, announcements, campaigns, promotions of events, programs, and activities organized by the KCFI in collaboration with stakeholders, and/or granters of donors.
KCFI shall not disclose any and all personal information that in doing so may pose harm to its stakeholders, partners and case studies even if such disclosure of personal information was done with consent by said stakeholders, partners and case studies. It shall keep and protect such information over a period of ten years.
