MANILA, Philippines — China Bank Savings (CBS) continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting Philippine education through its partnership with the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI), bringing accessible, curriculum-based digital learning resources closer to educators and learners through the Portable Media Library. The partnership provides schools and educators with a Portable Media Library—an external hard disk drive loaded with a collection of DepEd-aligned, curriculum-based video lessons, e-modules, e-session guides, and other supplementary learning materials designed to support classroom instruction and enhance the learning experience. Through this initiative, CBS and KCFI aim to help educators access quality learning content that can complement their teaching strategies, particularly in schools where reliable internet connectivity may remain a challenge.
“The partnership reflects our shared commitment to making learning resources more accessible to Filipino educators and learners. At CBS, we believe that supporting our teachers means supporting the communities they serve. By bringing these digital learning materials closer to schools, we hope to contribute to more meaningful and engaging learning experiences,” said Niel Jumawan – FVPII APD Lending Group Head.
The Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library provides educators with a ready-to-use educational content that may be accessed without requiring continuous internet connectivity. Its collection of video lessons and learning resources is designed to complement the Department of Education’s curriculum and provide teachers with additional tools that can be integrated into their classroom discussions and learning activities. The partnership forms part of CBS’ continuing efforts to support educators and contribute to initiatives that create positive and sustainable impact in communities.

Beyond providing financial services, the Bank continues to explore meaningful partnerships and programs that respond to the evolving needs of its stakeholders. The initiative also complements CBS’ ongoing engagement with the education sector, including its Financial Wellness Roadshows for educators, where the Bank brings financial education and practical money management insights closer to teachers and other members of the education community.
“More than building the capacity of our dedicated teachers, we are steadfast in our mission to support the education and development of the learners they teach, and consequently, the wellbeing of the teachers’ families who will benefit from enhanced money-handling skills and personal finance knowledge,” said Edric Calma, KCFI Vice President.
As CBS continues to expand its reach nationwide, the Bank remains committed to building partnerships that help create opportunities, empower communities, and contribute to a better future for Filipino families and learners. Through partnerships such as this, CBS and the Knowledge Channel Foundation move closer to a shared vision of making quality learning resources more accessible—helping educators teach with greater support and empowering learners to learn beyond the limits of the classroom.
