Kapamilyas express their support for Knowledge Channel on social media.
Celebrities like Robi Domingo, who is also the host of Knowledge Channel’s MathDali, Marlo Mortel who hosts Knowledge on the Go and Angel Locsin have taken their support for ABS-CBN and Knowledge Channel on social media. In Robi’s Instagram @iamrobidomingo, he reposted a quote from Boo Chanco’s Philstar column last May 29 saying “Mathdali show is its contribution to K-12’s aim of providing mastery of concepts and skills in Mathematics leading to better Math learning outcomes.”
The quote from Boo Chanco stated that ABS-CBN is not just about TV shows like Ang Probinsyano and It’s Showtime but also about Knowledge Channel, one of the channels in ABS-CBN TVplus that went off-the-air as a consequence of the cease and desist order of the National Telecommunications Commission issued to ABS-CBN.
Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin on the other hand, reposted on her Instagram Story @therealangellocsin a quote from Alex Magno’s column on Philstar last June 4. In that post, Magno emphasized the importance of allowing ABS-CBN to resume operations so the Knowledge Channel may be able to reach more learners as the Department of Education implements blended and distance learning.

ABS-CBN sports anchor and reporter Dyan Castillejo also expressed her support for Knowledge Channel on her Twitter account @DYANCASTILLEJO earlier in May. She retweeted a video of Knowledge Channel Foundation President Rina Lopez Bautista announcing the Foundation’s official statement on the ABS-CBN Shutdown.
Even netizens have expressed support for Knowledge Channel as they posted their comments on the Facebook page of Knowledge Channel and Knowledge Channel Foundation. Some of them have expressed sadness after Knowledge Channel went off-the-air on ABS-CBN TVplus while some have shared messages of hope and support using the #IbalikangKnowledgeChannel and #IbalikangABSCBN.
Despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 Pandemic and the shutdown of ABS-CBN, Knowledge Channel continues to be in the service of Filipino children. With television and online playing integral roles in blended and distance learning, Knowledge Channel is increasing its efforts to make curriculum-based video lessons available for teachers, learners, and parents.
Knowledge Channel is available on SKYcable, SKYdirect, GSat, and other partner cable operators. Video lessons can also be viewed on knowledgechannel.org, YouTube, Facebook, and DepED Commons.
