Since the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine last March 17 by the nation government in fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic, more and more kids have been tuning in to Knowledge Channel to catch up on their 4th Quarter lessons.
The biggest classroom on-air continues with the Stay at Home, Learn at Home Campaign with ABS-CBN to help keep children learning safely at home. With the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Knowledge Channel Foundation (KCFI) and the Department of Education activated the emergency education program called “EduKalidad sa Kalamidad” which enables the use of Knowledge Channel and its other platforms online as alternative learning delivery modes in time of crisis.
Since the beginning of the campaign last March 17, teachers, parents, and kids have been watching educational TV shows on Knowledge Channel and platforms online including knowledgechannel.org, YouTube and DepEd Commons. Some parents have even posted their experiences on Facebook, sharing how Knowledge Channel has been helpful for their kids during the Enhanced Community Quarantine. One of these posts was made by Carol Eclaridades saying “Super thankful ako sa knowledge chanel dahil kahit walang pasok nag-eenjoy [yung mga anak ko] manood at napapalawak ang kanilang kaisipan. (I am thankful to Knowledge Channel that kids can still enjoy and learn even if they are not in school.)”

Knowledge Channel is also increasing its online activity by posting more educational supplementary content like episode guides, activities, quizzes and more.

The Stay at Home, Learn at home Campaign has been officially extended as the ECQ continues in Luzon and other parts of the country.
