Knowledge Channel shows honored at AnakTV Awards

On its 20th year, Knowledge Channel shows received four Anak TV Seal Awards for their shows during the 2019 Anak TV Seal Awarding Ceremony held at Soka Gakkai International Philippines in Quezon City on December 5.

AnakTV gave its stamp of approval to Knowledge Channel show, ‘Puno Ng Buhay’ a program on the environment and forest conservation with the integration of science concepts to help students be aware and educated on the importance and of saving Philippine tropical forests.

Also obtaining a seal of approval from Anak Tv is ‘Knowledge On The Go’ hosted by Marlo Mortel in which he visits schools and other places to play wherein participants are asked to roll the dice to try and answer a question based on a subject category.

Starring Jairus Aquino and Sharlene San Pedro, ‘Estudyantipid’ are also one of this year’s AnakTV seal awardee.This program was especially made for students to appreciate the value of money. Students are oriented in the ways of using and saving money properly. Among the concepts presented are the differences of needs and wants, wealth, interest and inflation.

‘Payong K-Lusugan’ also nabbed an AnakTV Seal recognition this year. The story centers to Rachel, a TV health reporter who is being assigned by her producer to different barangays to investigate and research about different diseases.

Receiving the awards for the said shows were KCFI’s Director for Operations, Edric Calma and Manager for Transmedia, Christian Gaite. KCFI’s President and Executive Director, Rina Lopez Bautista also attended the ceremony to present awards.

The AnakTV Awards are given by Anak TV since 2000 to promote literacy and pushes the agenda for the child-sensitive, family friendly television in the country. The AnakTV seal is a national award voted by parents, educators, business and media professionals, government, media, NGOs, the religious sector, and youth to be given to media programs and personalities all over the Philippines that are children and family-friendly.
