What is the KCFI Volunteer Program?
The Knowledge Channel Foundation aims to transform the country by bringing quality education to one student, one classroom and one school at a time. And the Knowledge Channel Foundation Volunteer Program was organized for one sole purpose – to help the organization in fulfilling this dream.

Through its all-educational TV channel, KCFI makes quality education available to impoverished students and schools all over the Philippines. In order to ensure that the programs of KCh fully benefit the Filipino students and teachers, continuous monitoring, development and on-site actions are necessary. This is where the Volunteer Program comes in.

It lends help to places where it is most needed. The program seeks assistance and support from individuals and institutions that wish to donate their time, skills and energy for the benefit of public school students.
Why Volunteer with Knowledge Channel?
Knowledge Channel dedicates its services to education, the best answer to poverty and the biggest key to success. By volunteering with KCFI, you are not only opening new doors towards new experiences and bonds, but you are also touching lives and strengthening the educational foundation of the country.

Volunteering for KCFI means making a change that lasts, not just providing a temporary solution to a lasting problem.
How to be a KCh Volunteer
Anyone who is aware of the current educational decline in the country and who is willing to act in order to solve the problem can be a KCh Volunteer. Students, employees, retirees and families are encouraged to share a little of their time for volunteer services. Knowledge Channel Foundation volunteers can work on-site (in the Knowledge Channel office) or off-site (on the field, operation site or online). All you have to do is to fill-up the registration form below.

FEATURED VOLUNTEER

John Christian Barrera

John Christian Barrera, JC to his fellow volunteers, has been an OJT trainee under the Volunteer Management Department of KCFI since January 2010. His regular attendance, consistent participation in activities and leadership skills makes him a valuable addition to the foundation’s volunteer team. In the photo, JC is seen tutoring a student from Aurora Elementary School. It was taken during a series of tutorials conducted to help prepare Grade 6 students for their upcoming National Achievement Test (NAT).

Beyond the hours JC spends with Knowledge Channel, what is most notable is the heart and passion which takes over whenever he performs his duties. He shares his spirituality and love of country with his co-volunteers and everyone whom he works with.
