 Agham Aralin and Marine Biodiversity
Medium: English

Agham Aralin

The organization of living and nonliving things reflects an exceptional design. Without this degree of order, life would not function as efficiently. All living things are organized into different kinds of ecosystems or groups. The diversity of the ecosystems on Earth constitutes the biosphere. This biosphere is within a sphere constituted in an even larger planetary system. All these reveal organization and creativity of how nature is designed.

Marine Biodiversity

Marine Biodiversity covers the basic concepts of the food web, the goods and services that it provides to man, and the ways in which man may preserve this diversity without compromising  economic growth.

AGHAM ARALIN
YEAR LEVEL: 1st
Learning Competency: Organ System: Interaction among cells, tissues, organs and systems in maintaining the life of an organism
Organization of Life

June 13, 2010 - June 18, 2010
Jay’s concern for Luisa and her illness serves as springboard to the discussions on cells and the organization of life. To study living things, it is important to examine life at multiple levels of organization. The purpose of this lesson is to show students the organization of the human body. It also prepares students for the latter lessons that deal with the basic structure of all living organisms and the individual systems of the human body.

YEAR LEVEL: 1st and 2nd
Learning Competency: Ecological Systems: Components, kinds and difference from environment
Organization in an Ecosystem

June 20, 2010 - June 25, 2010
Which school organization should Jay join? Discussions on this concern and relating them to organization in the ecosystem bind the entire episode. All populations live together and the physical factors with which they interact compose an ecosystem. In this lesson plan, students examine an ecosystem to learn how the living and non-living parts of an ecosystem interact.
AGHAM ARALIN
YEAR LEVEL: 1st
Learning Competency: Causes and effects of the different phenomena related to the Sun-Moon-Earth system
Organization of Celestial Bodies

June 27, 2010 - July 02, 2010
Jay and his friends learn about the celestial bodies and their effects on the environment and living things. The Earth, Moon, and Sun move relative to one another and their motions account for a variety of celestial phenomena. The purpose of this lesson is to model the orbit of the Moon and Earth around the Sun and to model the phases of the Moon and eclipses due to the positions of Earth, Moon and Sun.

THE GOOD IN DIVERSITY

July 11, 2010 - July 16, 2010
This episode presents what marine biodiversity does to the community. However, some human activities lead to its destruction.
