The seventh Tulong Balik Eskwela distribution came about through Knowledge Channel Foundation’s partnership with First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPHC). Volunteers from KCh and FPHC went to Manggahan Elementary School in Pasig City in order to give away school packs to students affected by the recent typhoon Ondoy.

Volunteers from Knowledge Channel Foundation and PHILEC (Philippine Electric Corporation) banded together for the fifth Tulong Balik Eskwela distribution program. They were back in Pasig City, this time visiting the Bagong Ilog Elementary School.

KNOWLEDGE Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) and the Department of Education (DepEd) signed a memorandum of agreement to renew their 10-year partnership for the nationwide development of basic education tools through the Knowledge Channel.

The delegation of volunteers for Tulong Balik Eskwela’s third school distribution was made up of a very big team. Aside from staff volunteers of Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc, there were also staff volunteers from Miriam College, Goldlink, First Balfour and Daeyang.

The second stop of the Tulong Balik Eskwela program was St. Mary Elementary School in Nangka, Marikina City. The city of Marikina is considered as one of the places that took the most damage from the passing of typhoon Ondoy. Relief operations have not reached the school yet.

The first school visit of the Tulong Balik Eskwela program brought Knowledge Channel Foundation and its volunteers to Aguho Elementary School in Pateros. 322 public school students received not just school bags containing brand new sets of school materials, but they were also given toiletries and slippers.

As part of the Tulong Balik Eskwela Program, the Knowledge Channel Foundation and volunteers worked together to pack and distribute around 1,000 school packs for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in Palar Elementary School, Taguig City.
