| PETA's Juan Tamad goes to Knowledge Channel |
| April 29, 2010 |
There is no better joke than the kind that drives you to fits of uncontrollable laughter and then leaves you with a thought or two to ponder about. The Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) incredibly hilarious musical play entitled "Si Juan Tamad, Ang Diyablo at ang Limang Milyong Boto" has that same effect. Written by renowned musical director and composer, Vincent DeJesus and directed by Phil Noble, the play takes the audience to a trip to fictional Isla Filimonimon and introduces them to an array of unforgettable characters. During the Punong Barangay elections, an apathetic and lazy youth called Juan Tamad stumbles through excuse after excuse in his attempt to find a suitable reason not to vote. To further discourage the already uncertain Juan Tamad, the Diyablo argues the hassles everyone goes through when registering and voting. This undeniably entertaining musical with its timely message can now be seen right here in Knowledge Channel from April 30 to May 10, 2010. You can watch Si Juan Tamad, Ang Diyablo at ang Limang Milyong Boto on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:20-9:20am, Tuesday and Thursday at 2:20-3:20pm, and every evening for the coming week at 8:20-9:20pm.
