Volunteers from Knowledge Channel Foundation and PHILEC (Philippine Electric Corporation) banded together for the fifth Tulong Balik Eskwela distribution program. They were back in Pasig City, this time visiting the Bagong Ilog Elementary School.

Through Ms. Rhosell Cruz, one of Bagong Ilog Elementary School’s teachers, the group received a list of typhoon-affected students belonging to all school levels. School bags containing school supplies were distributed to 402 students during the visit. The school bags and supplies were donated by PHILEC care of Ms. Erlinda Figueroa as well as by the students of De La Salle University (DLSU).

Aside from school packs, the children also received bottles of distilled drinking water. A number of cases of distilled drinking water were also left in order to provide children in school with safe drinking water.
