Nature of Work

Under the direct supervision of the Content & Curriculum Development Head, this individual provides accurate and relevant content, suggests effective instructional designs, and related data for the development and/ or enhancement of multimedia learning resources (MMLR) for the various platforms of Knowledge Channel.  He or she also assists in the preview of materials, research, selection, classification and acquisition of MMLR.


  1. Map and develop curriculum content and corresponding instructional designs for video scripts and storyboards and layouts for e-learning and other media-based materials, making sure that such products are based on identified needs and sound and evidenced-based learning theories.
  2. Work with consultants from the Department of Education (DepEd), other groups and members of production and related units in the development of multimedia learning resources.

Specifically, these activities include the:

  • Preparation of materials in the most comprehensible texts for content guides provided to writers and developers.
  • Review of content, sequence treatment, scripts, storyboards and resulting multimedia learning resources making sure that all materials are aligned with the with the curriculum and thrusts of DepEd and KCFI and in terms of effectiveness, appropriateness and accuracy of content.
  • Preview and test materials before airing, uploading or publication to check on effectiveness of design, accuracy of data and concepts. 
  1. Conduct regular assessment of shows and other multimedia learning resources and make necessary recommendations on revisions in content and form, and in programming and use in learning.
  2. Perform other matters and produce materials related to technology-aided and 21st century learning.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferably with specialization in Early Childhood Development/ Beginning Reading
  • At least 2-3 years relevant experience


  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Media literate


Knowledge Channel seeks to engage a video editor/ splicer who will perform post production work for its multimedia learning resource projects.

The person should have a passion for education and learning. He should make use of his creativity, storytelling skills and digital editing techniques to effectively communicate through media.

I. Qualifications:

1. Minimum of two years experience in digital video editing and video-production-related work or its equivalent
2. Intermediate or advanced knowledge with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Premiere After Effects and Final Cut)
3. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
4. Demonstrated proficiency in video production with thorough knowledge of timing and continuity
5. Capable of handling multiple video editing projects
6. Extreme attention to detail especially in end-client branding requirements and goals, and in basic English and Filipino grammar.

II. Responsibilities:

1. Study scripts to become familiar with production concepts and requirements
2. Organize and prepare all materials that are needed for editing
3. Consulting with the director, producer and/or client throughout the process, trim footage segments and create rough and final cuts
4. Input music, dialogues, sound effects, graphics and effects
5. Prepares reports and presents output.

III. Other Responsibilities:

1. Participates in organization’s events
2. Attend workshops and trainings for styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements
3. Echo new learning’s on post-production acquired from workshops and trainings through outputs, to other people whose works are related to what he/she does
4. Perform other functions that his/ her superiors may ask from time to time.
