If you were one of the kids who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, TV has definitely played a huge part in your childhood. Remember those morning TV shows that taught you to sing ABC and to count numbers? Harking back to the days of Sineskwela, Hiraya Manawari, Bayani and more, Knowledge Channel has pulled out from its archives a show that will definitely call back your childhood.
ATBP (Awit, Titik, Bilang na Pambata) or “Awit, Titik, Bilang at iba pa…” as said in the opening song is an educational children’s program that taught kids how to sing, count, and the Filipino alphabet. but most importantly, the show has taught essential values that hold true up to this day.
Values like honesty, obedience, love for nature and more have been the cornerstone of a show like ATBP. It has also set a standard for Filipino-produced educational shows that have succeeded it. The use of live puppetry, stop-motion animation, and hand-drawn illustrations make this show a true classic.
Now made available on Knowledge Channel’s YouTube channel, here are the five MUST WATCH episodes of ATBP!
